Why do we shout?

One day a saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'

The disciples thought for a while and one of them said, 'We shout when we lose our calm.'

'But, why shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint.

'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

The disciples gave some other answers but none of them satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through the great distance created.'

Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small.'

The saint continued, 'When they start loving each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, they only whisper and get even more closer to each other. Finally they do not whisper, they only need to look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they are in love.'

MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that could increase the distance between each other, else there will come a day when the distance will be so great that you will not find the path to return.

One night president Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine & go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn't too expensive. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the president's secret service if he could speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a word with the owner.

Following the conversation President Obama asked Michelle, "Why was he so interested in talking to you?"

She said that in here teens, he had been madly in love with her.

President Obama said, " So if you had married him, you would be the owner of this lovely restaurant now."

To which Michelle replied, " No if i had married him, he would be the president now."

The Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped into a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just a few inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. He was so unperturbed. So I asked, 'Why did you do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!!'

This is when the taxi driver explained what is called,

The Law of the Garbage Truck:

He explained that a lot of people, perhaps, are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, frustration, anger, disappointment and excessive greed. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and left with no other option, sometimes they'll dump it on someone else, and that could be you as well.

When they do that just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Try not to take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, home, on the streets or elsewhere.

The bottom line here is that most of the successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up with regrets in the morning. So, Love the people who treat you right & pray for the ones who don't!

I had just reached office and logged in to blogger like i do everyday. I was casually going through my blog roll when it suddenly hit me! There was a blog which had been updated recently....and i can't tell u my reaction after reading the post. Ok now moving on from your guesses and not to keep u waiting anymore, let me tell you what has happened.....

Our very own Americanising Desi aka Seher is now committed!!

Yes, all those lovey dovey posts & all our prayers have come true. I couldn't think of a better way to congratulate her than to write a post on it, coz a mere comment would be insufficient for me to express my happiness. Congrats gurl & even though i am a bit miffed at the thought that u hid this for such a long time....i forgive you coz i know that u must have had your own reasons for doing so. And now that its official, there's definitely no turning back. My faith in god is restored, good things do happen to good people and its proven now.

Hilarious Coincidence

A father put his three year old daughter to bed, told her a story and listened to her prayers which she ended by saying "God bless Mommy, God bless daddy, God bless grandma and good-bye grandpa."

The father asked, "Why did you say good-bye grandpa?". The little girl said, "I don't know daddy, it just seemed like the thing to do." The next day grandpa died.

The father thought it was a strange coincidence. A few months later the father put the girl to bed and listened to her prayers, which went like this: "God bless Mommy, God Bless daddy and good-bye grandma." The next day the grandmother died.

Oh my god, thought the father, this kid is in contact with the other side. Several weeks later when the girl was going to bed the dad heard her say,"God bless Mommy and good-bye daddy."

He practically went into shock. He couldn't sleep all night and got up at the crack of dawn to go to his office. He was nervous as a cat all day, had lunch sent in and watched the clock. He figured if he could get by until midnight he would be okay. He felt safe in the office, so instead of going home at the end of the day he stayed there, looking at his watch and jumping at every sound.

Finally midnight arrived, he breathed a sigh of relief and went home. When he got home his wife said "I've never seen you work so late, what's the matter?" He said "I don't want to talk about it, I've just spent the worst day of my life." She said "You think you had a bad day, you'll never believe what happened here. He asked "What"?? She said "This morning our neighbor James suddenly died."
